Who is the doctor?

Danielle Callegari loves to learn about, and consume, food and wine. She holds a Ph.D. in Italian Studies from New York University and is a Certified Specialist of Wine. While completing her graduate work focused on medieval literature and food, she spent several years researching and teaching in Florence, Italy. She later taught at UC Berkeley and UC Davis, before arriving at Dartmouth College where she now teaches courses in Italian studies and food studies. She is also the co-host of the podcast Gola and writer at large for Wine Enthusiast
